Beyond the Classroom
-
The Vanguard Transition Center's career development and transition services prepare students to function as adults to the best of their ability. IEPs are transition-driven and a results-oriented process. Students are offered opportunities for on-campus work and off-campus employment experiences in the community and preparation for post-secondary education. The focus is on teaching social skills and transferable work skills that can be used in adult life.
Community-Based Vocational Training
The Community-Based Vocational Training (CBVT) program is designed to provide a positive beginning in the world of work for members of our Vanguard Transition Center. It serves students having a range of abilities who need personalized support exploring potential careers, pursuing challenging work experiences, maintaining employment and seeking job advancement in their communities.
