Valley Forge Educational Services’ Vocational Immersion Program (VIP) provides young adults with special needs a meaningful, educational and vocational work experience for continued success. Five VIP participants recently completed the four-week summer intensive that includes classroom classroom-based instruction, online learning, independent living residencies and workplace internships.
Partnering with local businesses, Audi of Devon and Lintons Managed Services, the Vocational Immersion Program evaluates each participant’s personal interests and strengths to place the young adult within the appropriate work environment. Audi of Devon hosted students in the accounting office, conducting clerical work, and in the detail department assisting with car detailing. VIP participants working at Lintons Managed Services were given the opportunity to assist with food preparation, service and inventory.
