Tuesday, December 4, excitement filled the Vanguard School Activities Center Gymnasium at The Vanguard School’s Eagles Super Bowl Ring Pep Rally. Only one night earlier, millions of fans watched as a special Vanguard School family received a unique gift and our Eagles triumphed over the Redskins in a much needed 28-13 victory.
Vanguard School parents, Jim and Patti Gillece, were selected out of almost 6 million entries in the first-ever Eagles Autism Challenge Super Bowl Ring Sweepstakes to receive the grand prize of an authentic Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl ring! Jim and Patti, along with their three children – Trey, who is a Vanguard School Senior, Griffin and Kendall – decided to turn this momentous occasion into a vehicle for good. With help and support from the Eagles organization and the Gillece Family, The Vanguard School hosted a pep rally to provide students and staff with the rare opportunity to try on the Super Bowl Ring and pose for photographs with Swoop and Eagles Cheerleaders.
