Valley Forge Educational Services (VFES) hosted the Special Kids Camp Expo, Saturday, January 27 in the VFES Activities Center. Families with children and young adults with special needs searched for the perfect summer program as they explored the 35+ camps and programs in attendance.
Exhibitors included day and overnight camps, academic programs, Extended School Year services, travel excursions, career exploration programs, workforce readiness programs, therapeutic programs and community resources. In addition to exploring the camp programs, children made their own sensory bottle, an activity sponsored by PA Relaxed Performance Theatre Cohort: Theatre Horizon, People's Light, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, and Montgomery Theater.
VFES welcomed more than 150 families, professionals and caregivers who spent the afternoon gaining valuable information from programs serving the tristate area including Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Berks, Bucks, and Philadelphia Counties.The Special Kids Camp Expo is free of charge and open to the community.
