Do you have a child with special needs?
We are here to serve you. Guiding young people to independence has been our focus for more than fifty years. We offer a variety of educational services for children and young adults through four programs on our Malvern campus.
Our Programs
The Luma Center for Development and Learning is the place for families to find support and services for children, 2-16, with developmental or learning challenges. The Luma Center works with children with a range of needs and abilities. The Center offers early intervention services, occupational and speech-language therapy, preschool- and kindergarten-complementary programs, social skills groups and tutoring.
Since 1959, the Vanguard School has provided an appropriate, quality education to students whose needs cannot be met in a regular public school setting. The School services students 4-19 with exceptionalities including autism spectrum disorders, neurological impairment, and related social-emotional difficulties.
The Vanguard Transition Center supports college, career development and independent living skills for young adults 18-21 who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, mild emotional disturbance and/or neurological impairment.
Summer Matters offers summer and respite programming to children and young adults 5-21 with specialized educational needs. Experienced staff and a warm, supportive environment help students to succeed. Choices include Extended School Year programs, travel, day and special interest camps, and a camp for elementary school students struggling academically.
