The Luma Center™ Offering Services to Families and Children with Developmental and Learning Challenges

…Paoli, PA….Valley Forge Educational Services is pleased to announce the opening of The Luma Center™ for Development and Learning, a center based program in Malvern offering services for families and children with developmental and learning challenges. Services formerly considered part of VFES’ Child Development Services have been incorporated into the Center.

The Luma Center’s experienced staff offer comprehensive occupational, physical, speech and language evaluations, individual therapies to children in a state-of-the-art therapy center as well as tutoring services. The Center welcomes inquiries from parents and professionals regarding review of evaluations, educational and therapeutic programs, individualized student planning, sensory integration and praxis testing (SIPT certified), developmental screenings, school readiness screenings and school year programs for 3-8 year-olds.

Social development groups for preschool through middle school students are now forming for fall. These groups provide extra support in the areas of language, motor, sensory and social skills under the guidance of experienced facilitators. The Luma Center™ is directed by Nancy Allard, MA, OTR/L, who has more than twenty-eight years of experience working with children and families. She holds a master’s degree from New York University in occupational therapy, a BA in psychology, and certification in both elementary and special education.
