  • Resource Fair: Employment, Housing, Support Services and Social Opportunities for Young Adults and Their Families
    Thursday, October 13, 6:30–8:30 pm
    VFES Activities Center
    Free and Open to the Public
    Designed to offer families the opportunity to learn about area programs, services, products and resources for adults with special needs. Exhibitors include supportive employment organizations, residential service providers, community support services, benefits counselors, family advocates, special needs financial planning experts and organizations that provide social, recreational and leisure activities.

  • Summer Matters offers a continuum of innovative programming for learners with special needs, 5–24 years of age.

    Summer Matters programs are of varying formats and lengths and build on campers’ interests to help them succeed, learn and grow. Summer Matters is headquartered in Malvern, PA, and is a program of Valley Forge Educational Services. Programs are held at sites in suburban Philadelphia and the Mid-Atlantic.

    Summer L.I.F.E.
    Provides supported recreational opportunities for campers, 8–21 years of age.


    Summer at StarPoint and StarPoint 2
    A five-week program with half- or full-day options for children 4–6 years of age. Our programs recognize each child’s abilities while supporting his or her academic and therapeutic needs.


    ESY at The Vanguard School
    A specialized skills maintenance program for eligible students, 5–17 years of age.

    VTC Summer Experience
    Focuses on the development of daily living skills, vocational training and post-secondary education for young adults, 18–21 years of age.

    Career Prep Academy ESY 
    A part-time ESY program designed for high school students combining small-group career preparation, financial literacy, customer service, peer interactions, career education and executive function skill building. 

    Vocational Immersion Program (VIP)
    A four-week program designed for young adults, 18–24 years of age, who would benefit from supported vocational experiences in the community. 

    School-Year Programs
    Daytime and overnight respite programs offered throughout the year.
