Valley Forge Educational Services

EITC Scholarships

Did you know your support of Valley Forge Educational Services can bring a 75% or 90% tax credit to your business?

The Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program allows a business owner to take a credit against PA taxes for up to 90% of the amount donated to Valley Forge Educational Services.

Who Qualifies?

Anyone who pays:

  • Corporate Net Income Tax
  • Capitol Stock Franchise Tax
  • Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax
  • Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax
  • Insurance Premiums Tax
  • Mutual Thrift Institution Tax
  • Personal Income Tax of S Corporation Shareholders
  • Personal Income Tax of Partnership Partners

Typically, these taxes are paid by Corporations, Partnerships, LLCs, Banks, Insurance Companies, Title Companies and Mutual Thrift Companies. Partnerships can split a gift among several EITC-approved nonprofits.

How does this work?

  1. Submit your application to us by June 15. You decide the donation amount on your application. Credits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
  2. You will be notified by the state of PA of your acceptance if you qualify.
  3. Make your contribution to Valley Forge Educational Services (EITC) within 60 days of acceptance and send proof of your contribution to PA.

EITC contributions support Valley Forge Educational Services scholarship programs and offset the cost of tuition for members of our diverse families who would otherwise not be able to participate in our programming.

Now is the perfect time to think about participating in the EITC program. Bring this letter to your tax preparer and talk to him/her about the program. Your tax preparer can guide you through the process. For more information, visit www.newpa.com/eitc or call the VFES Development Office at 610-296-6725 x108.
