Curriculum and Instruction
We endorse and utilize evidence-based special education practices to ensure the highest-quality academic experience possible. Each year, a Curriculum Task Force is assembled which includes staff, administrators and parents. Through a meticulous curriculum evaluation and development process, the Task Force identifies programs that meet the requirements of Evidence-Based Practices (EBP), meaning they are strongly supported by evidence from well-conducted research studies appropriate to the student population that comprises our programs. As these practices require a high level of instructional skill, training supports include teacher induction, professional development and pedagogical coaching.
