| Health Insurance | Full-time staff may participate in one of three different health plans offered through IBC/Keystone Health Plan East. For the current benefit year, VFES will contribute 100% per month toward the cost of participation in 2 of our 3 health plan options. Monthly costs above VFES’s contribution for the third plan option, including the cost of dependent coverage for eligible family members, will be paid by the employee through 2 equal, pre‐tax payroll deductions per month. |
| Dental Insurance | Full-time staff may participate in one of two different dental plans offered through Delta Dental. For the current benefit year, VFES will contribute 100% per month toward the cost of participation in one of our dental plans. Monthly costs above VFES’s contribution for the second plan option, including the cost of dependent coverage for eligible family members, will be paid by the employee through 2 equal, pre‐tax payroll deductions per month. |
| Disability Insurance | Long term disability insurance is provided at no cost to staff members. |
| Life Insurance | $15,000 of group life insurance is provided to staff members at no cost. Staff may purchase additional life insurance (up to a maximum of $150,000) at their own expense. Additional life insurance can be purchased for spouses and/or children, too. |
| Flexible Spending Accounts | Staff members may participate in flexible spending accounts so that certain expenses for medical procedures & supplies, prescriptions, and/or dependent care can be paid on a pre-tax basis. |
| 403(b) Retirement Plan | Staff members who have completed one year of service and worked a minimum of 1,000 hours are eligible to participate in a Retirement Plan offered through TIAA-CREF. Staff members contribute 2% of their pre-tax earnings and VFES will contribute 9% of the staff member’s pre-tax earnings. Staff members are fully vested when they join the Retirement Plan. |
| Tax Deferred Annuity Plan |
Staff members can also participate in a Tax Deferred Annuity Plan with TIAA-CREF at any time during their employment. This plan is a supplemental retirement fund allowing staff members to contribute pre-tax earnings above the 2% contribution required by the Retirement Plan. |
| Sick & Personal Time | Staff members earn ten (10) sick days and three (3) personal days per school year. |
| Tuition Reimbursement | Staff members may be eligible for tuition reimbursement (up to $2,000 per year) for college courses provided courses are pre-approved and related to their current position. |
| Staff Development | Staff Development On-site professional development opportunities are offered throughout the school year including opportunities to fulfill Act 48 requirements. Staff members may also attend up to two off-campus trainings per year with prior approval. |
